Color My World

Have you ever walked into your living room and thought that it looks a little drab? Too much gray, too much white, too much of... nothing?
While neutrals are the staples of interior design, color is like that one friend who livens up any room she's in and always buys that extra round of tequila shots.
An easy way to spice up a boring room is to find that one piece of furniture that brings life to a palette of grays and whites. The first thing that came to my mind was an accent chair. With a neutral based room, any color of chair would be appropriate and with my design style, I was leaning more towards a royal blue or a mustard yellow.
Yellow won.
My whole apartment is furnished by IKEA, so naturally I went to IKEA to find that perfect armchair. I snatched a metal cart and headed toward the rows and rows of cardboard boxed furniture. Then, I brought home the perfect accent piece.
