Makeup Monthly

I don't know anyone who doesn't like to try things before they buy them, especially when it comes to cosmetics. For only $10 a month, you can try five beauty products chosen just for you based on your preferences. Do you love trying new eyeliner that could make perfecting your signature cat eye a walk in the park? Is your vanity overflowing with makeup brushes? Do you live for matte lipsticks? Ipsy has just the products for you.

Ipsy provides its subscribers with high end products without the high price commitment every month. Each bag is curated to compliment your style, hair color, skin tone and eye color. To get a taste of what you could find in a bag of your own, let's review the items I received in my January bag.

| F.U.N Lacquer | Aka Fabulous Unique Nail lacquer, this nail polish is not only liquid gold but also extremely durable. Two coats of F.U.N Lacquer's TGIF has lasted me almost a week with minimal chipping. The only downside to this polish is that you need at least two coats to completely coat your nail if worn on its own. However, one coat of this polish would add just the right finish to a nude mani or give a whole new look to french tips. Another plus: this brand is cruelty free and has nail strengthening ingredients! Woo!

| Manna Kadar Cosmetics Fantasy 3-in-1 Eyeshadow | Why wouldn't you want a blush, highlighter and eyeshadow all in one? Any makeup product that has multiple purposes is a friend of mine. This Manna Kadar Cosmetics Fantasy 3-in-1 eyeshadow combines the best of three worlds. It's highly pigmented and gives me the right amount of shine in all the right places. The color is a mix between a bronze and dusty pink, which makes it great for blush and eyeshadow. It still has that translucent glow to it to make anyone's cheek bones shimmer. Warning: a little goes a long way and it's easy to over apply.

| Jelly Pong Pong Coffee + Coconut Lip Scrub | This 10 ml jar of sugar lip scrub smells like your morning iced coffee and happy hour piña colada mixed together in one cup. After applying this scrub to my lips, they felt baby soft and ready to tackle any matte lipstick that comes their way. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent, but the overall product is good and does its job.

| Trust Fund Beauty Lip Gloss in Blame Game | While I really don't like lip glosses for the simple fact that they make my lips too shiny and remind me of my awkward middle school years, the color of this Trust Fund Beauty gloss is perfect for every day wear. It's not sticky and the wand provides an easy, precise application that encourages bulidable color. The color is a soft neutral, but in general it didn't stay on my lips longer than an hour.

| Crown Brush Beaute Basics C405 Contour Brush | The angle of this brush is perfect for contouring your face. The goat hair fibers really glide nicely along my skin, applying bronzer evenly. It's easy to blend with this brush as well. This brush can highlight, contour or blush and leave you looking flawless with each application.

With each month comes the excitement to open my mailbox and see a hot pink package because I know that inside are five new additions to my makeup bag. Try Ipsy yourself and see what is picked just for you!
